Post hoc ergo propter hoc. The fact is that we've been arming the Saudis for decades, in order to counter-balance Iran's play at dominating the region; we're using them as a counter-balance. Indeed, the Yemeni civil war is in fact a semi-proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
You act as if you're entirely unaware that we sold arms to SA thirty years before Clinton led the State Dept, and you act as if you're entirely unaware of the national-interest motivations which (rightly or wrongly) have guided that policy.
