Sooo... why doesn't it just say, "God created light; he created it for us and the rest of the universe"? Why the extra mumbo jumbo? The fact alone that you, someone who professes to know God personally, have to use the word "probably" means the general understanding of it is pretty murky.
Creating it implies He created it for us and the universe. Saying He spoke it into existence shows the power of God. To say God wove it or hammered it would have put God and the creation on man's level. Man can speak nothing into existence, except trouble. My using "probably" was to indicate that God's reasoning is beyond me and everyone else unless He reveals his intentions.
