Honest answer: because the media already downplays race crime against whites and indeed any crimes caused by ethnic minorities. However the reverse happens and it's immediately without question called what it is (which is as it should be btw).

There's a double standard that goes on with the media when a lot of these types of stories are reported, at least from what I see.

If it's a white kid shooting up a school they'll immediately tell you that it is such. If it's a jihadi shooting people in the streets they wait as long as possible before even mentioning the word terrorism.

Use the title of the article in the OP as a prime example. Nowhere is race mentioned in it. However if it were the other way around, you can bet your ass they'd make a point of saying it's race related. 100%.

Sorry. This doesn't really answer my question. The media downplaying this (if they do) doesn't really explain why Bella and that weird guy think people on this forum will actually defend people who beat and ridiculed a man, let alone a mentally handicapped man.

No. Not because they were black or anti Trump. For my part, I was referencing the SJWs  who see racist attacks like this as something only white people do. Most SJWs won't see this as racially motivated when in fact it was. Even the Chicago police chief downplayed the attack as just a stupid decision by young adults and may not rise to the level of a hate crime. CNN commentator blames bad parenting...refuses to call it a hate crime. If it were the other way around where whites were the attackers every SJW activist on this site would be screaming racism. We're just calling out the unbalanced bias by the SJWs.

This was a racially motivated hate crime, and just so happened, 4 blacks were the attackers who kidnapped and tortured a mentally challenged white guy.

So because some people downplay the race aspect, you think people will defend the "suspects?" You guys keep playing the race card as the reason you think people will defend the attackers. Misconstruing a criminal's motive does not mean you defend said criminal.

Defending, downplaying the racial motivation of the attackers, it's all the same to me. At least, that's the way I see it.
