So Saturday, after prepping the garden for several days, we had fifteen friends over for tea/brunch. Many of our friends are in the same 60 to 70 range we're in. But Corwin, who just happens to be my favorite conservative friend is 90. A bottle of his home brewed wine can be seen on the table. He is no longer making and bottling wine because, as he puts it, having checked the actuarial tables he is convinced he has enough. You can probably tell which one he is here.
I put the table together using three folding ones and built a three foot wide turntable for the occasion. I then got up at six in order to assemble the sandwiches and other goodies I prepped the day before. It was a beautiful day.
I'm no spring chicken myself as evidenced by this photo. This photo was unposed and I don't think I smile a lot naturally. Weird because I'm usually pretty happy nonetheless.
Smokey clearly admired the work I did on the garden.
So here is one of the back garden
