Also, no one ever told me that moving your front wheel helps you stay balanced. Because all everyone said was "move forward". If I've learned anything as an adult, it's that it's actually harder to learn how to ride a bike than people say, they just forget because they usually learn how to at a young age.
So sorry to contradict what you say, but you have to do some things to compensate for others. Then you keep it straight.
I just need practice on a track that doesn't have a fucking drop off point at the side. The bike fits me well, it has a comfy saddle and I can put the whole ball of my foot down if I need to. The problem was I was too close to the edge of the boardwalk and BOOM.
