I just don't get Doctor Who. I have been forced to watch episodes that people SWEAR will get to me, as well as two seasons worth of 'regular' episodes, and I just don't care.
And you know what? Fair enough. My favorite book involves a lot of walking and I don't expect it to be everyone's cuppa. But damn Whovians can get bent out of shape about people not liking their 'verse.
LOL
I get them whovians...
I also get that it has quite a bit of nonsense thrown in due to "plot reasons", which can be a bit of a let down to someone expecting some serious sci-fi, like Star Trek.
There are huge arcs concerning the companions... the first companion of the 2005 series was called Rose... and Rose was the doctor's perfect companion.... so both were sad.... torn apart, really... when they had to let go of each other. And then the cult grew around her.... she also came to be known as "Bad Wolf" (hence the wolf in that pic)...
Episodes would only get to you if you were aware of the backstory... a least, for the most part... so... yeah... I wouldn't expect anyone to get it like that.
I'm rambling, aren't I?
