So this happened a couple nights ago in a storm.
Not typically a big tree but this one grew quickly and developed a quite a big sail. I had chipped out the bottom of the planter to allow it's roots to spread but the trunk being a couple of feet up allowed the wind to leverage it over.
I had to cut away all the long feeder roots when I planted it in the ground but it looks like it might survive. If not, I'll have to seek out some retail therapy to get me through the loss.
