Once you get a truck you'll wonder how you ever got along without one. If you do a lot of yard work at your home a truck would be far better than a car trunk to haul a bunch of mulch back and forth from your home to the place you buy your landscaping stuff. In my truck I can get everything in one load, actually saving me gas. Or, if you buy a piece of furniture, put it in the back of the truck and save yourself a delivery bill. Trucks are an investment and they hold their value for quite a long time.
My Ford Fiesta would give me something closer to 40mpg. Sure, it's not a truck... but did you really have to haul a truck to where you were going?
I wish to one day have an EV and leave the mpg measure behind me forever.
err..... cost of truck VS cost of delivery ?!
How is that in favor of having a truck??
I do admit it's far easier to use your own stuff than depend on others to deliver it to you... but it's not cost-efficient.
If your main use for the vehicle is transportation of less than 5 people, a small car is a far better investment - much better mileage, cheaper maintenance, cheaper insurance (as far I know)...
Besides, European parking spaces are not very truck friendly
