This is the mid-point in my annual Door County vacation, and, as is customary, Dad and I go down to Sturgeon Bay to have our laundry done. We went shopping to pass the time, mostly antique shops we didn't find anything interesting at, although the new bookstore includes a Joan Didion book and Anne of Green Gables, and the Walmart brought copies of Fury Road, Vice Principals, and a 5 Amp portable charger.
But between the bookstore and the Walmart, I found this:
These four pelicans, and this flock of ducks, were heading into the water as we saw them. Fortunately, they were brave enough to not bolt in the time it took for me to take this pic. I spent a lot of time advancing towards the water, and I headed back as soon as I noticed there actually was a "no trespassing" sign on the shore.
And here's a two-strip Technicolor #hailtritanopia picture of the same scene.
