Yeah, I was spoiled on that count, always had good food and plenty of it to choose from. One side of the property was a state park and the other side was a huge lake that the creek coming out of the park ran to. We could get boats in and out all day without fish and game bothering us. Every year or so we'd plow into one of the cows the neighbor let wander on the state road, and we kept hogs, chickens, ducks and geese. Big kitchen garden, huge patch of corn and peanuts. Plus, it was the 80's. Couldn't get a pizza delivered but we could always pick one up, lol.
Great place to remember as a childhood home.
I think that the last thing my paternal gm made me was a nathans hot dog. Maternal great gm..kraft fish sticks. Last thing my maternal gm made me was fried catfish, and that'll probably be the next thing she makes me too. That cracker isn't getting older so much as petrifying.
It's a beautiful morning.
I still have to put in doors and a cleanout shelf. Roosts, beeding... install vents, heat, light...then build the run. I'll put a feeding shed on the other side of it, then paint it all red white and blue.
-and all of you lucky homebound people will be forced to look at the pic-ses.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
