(I spent a large portion of my childhood in and around Tampa Bay, there's a really good greyhound adoption program there, I always wanted a greyhound. Unfortunately I always found myself in an apartment when I was in the Bay Area, never seemed like a good place for that sort of dog, or any dog really.)
Yea they are rescues. The white and brindle Pops was a grade AA and stakes racer. He won 17 times if memory serves me before he broke his second hock. Glo Bug the fawn never raced but was breed and raised as a racer. They said she was a bit shy for the crowd at the track. Giffin, the big black guy that's not in the picture was also a AA racer. He would have made a great apartment dog. Calling him a couch potato would be the understatement of the century....
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.
