"Religion . . . comprises a system of wishful illusions together with a disavowal of reality, such as we find in an isolated form nowhere else but in amentia*, in a state of blissful hallucinatory confusion."- Sigmund Freud

*Amentia means "Mental retardation"

Even Freud (The guy who discovered crazy) thought they were crazy. Smile

Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.

In my experience the only people that say this are the mentally ill.

Yeah you certainly came off as a bit of an asshole...

KIDDING!

You were perfectly polite, more so than most of the users we get on here, so don't worry about it and be yourself.

As for your OP, I'm not a psychiatrist and I can't really relate to being 'indoctrinated' because my family have never really forced religion onto me. So I'm pretty useless to you.

However, I will say welcome to the forums and I hope you enjoy it here Big Grin
