I share your perspective about voting for the lesser of the two police state candidates, although I favor a liberal rather than right-wing libertarian.

Every election cycle I tell myself that I'm not going to vote out of protest for always having to choose the lesser of two evils, or to put it more blunlty, the better smelling piece of shiit, and every election cycle the Repulbicans always conivince me with their abject stupidity to go out and vote against them.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I'll be voting for the only adult I trust to do what is possible to improve the lot of the middle class and to keep it from shrinking still more .. O'bama of course.

Just for the record, incremental change is really hard but it is the only kind you can hope to see no matter who wins the white house. Don't forget that being president is far from being king. You don't get your way on much just by holding that office. Unless you think unbudgeted wars, the rape of the environment and the continued attack on the working class don't matter, your vote against the republican candidate and for a candidate who can win really does matter.

Actually no Moros, I don't see a bigger evil. I see Coke and Pepsi. I really don't give a shit which one pulls the strings, neither will pull them my way, and there is no other option. So, count my non-vote as passive protest. If we all decided not to vote, just once, they'd have to declare a fucking this or that, and it would be pretty god-damned obvious that nobody gave a shit (not that this would stop them from declaring a this or that by default, but the process would be laid completely fucking bare..wouldn't it).

(Pro-tip, democrats have moneyed environment and middle class raping interests as well, they just have competing interests with the republicans)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I'd argue there is a lesser evil, or at least a slightly more ashamed one.

Unless you agree with this statement -
Democrats in the past four years are as outrageous as their Republican counterparts.

If you do, then there is not "a bigger evil"

I'm two hairs away from durka durka status Moros, I would agree with that statement. I've completely lost any confidence in our system and our politicians (keep in mind that I have bled red white and blue, my current thoughts on our country are almost too depressing to express).

On the other hand, I grew up and live in FL and KY....Bush's and Paul's....sadface...

Let's try this though, you find me something fucking outrageous mouthed by a republican puppet and see if I can't find something equally outrageous mouthed by a democrat puppet? We've been bought and paid for, that's the entirety of my political ideology.

Unbudgeted war? I'm struggling to understand this point. A war hasn't been legally declared since WWII. When was the last time the Senate approved a budget? If you now want to invoke the subsitution of appropriations for budget then your argument still fails, the current 'wars' are still being paid for.

Raping the environment? The current administration's record concerning the environment is abysmal. Aside from syphoning money to failing solar companies, the current administration's environmental prowess is limited to accepting California's auto emissions standards by 2016.

The only attacks on the working class are the continued policies that ensure that campaign donors have the means to fill campaign coffers. Both sides, with different rhetoric, have proved they don't give a damn about the masses.

This is the only issue that matters. All the rest of it, abortion, gay-rights, flag-burning, drug wars, school prayer, immigration, etc., are just shit designed to distract people from the fucking they are getting from the super rich.

And when did it start? In 1980 with the election of that senile old fucktard Reagan.
