Only a year?

Well done! Took me at least two - five to get to the Atheist label.

finalyawake, a tentative suggestion, you may want to tell us why you are depressed.

I'll kudos that on the assumption it was a rhetorical question, even though it probably wasn't. Ho-hum nevermind. >.>

If god is the source of all goodness and losing faith in him causes unhappiness, can we infer from that that anyone who finds happiness without a belief in god is proof that a god that is the source of all happiness does not exist?

Decent point, however, what I made was just a suggestion, not necessarily applicable in all cases due to the fact that rules have exceptions.

The idea that any religion's god is the source of all goodness would be hilarious if it wasn't so insulting to all those who have been slaughtered in his "holy" name.

Tut Tut

this is an example of the logical fallacy ad-hominem

Can I ask you what made you lose the belief that God exists?

Like someone already said. Cheer upSmile I'm not sure how taking God out of the equation makes life any less amazing. With or without a god existence is just as impossible and infinite as it always has been. I myself am glad to be a part of that impossibility.

A reformed Muslim? I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am for you. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Don't let anyone cause you to doubt yourself. You've made the right choice for yourself.
You really believe in a man who has helped to save the world twice, with the power to change his physical appearance? An alien who travels though time and space--in a police box?!? [Image: TARDIS.gif]

If there is no God, Hitler got away with it.
