Mine cycles through a file of pictures of everything from family members to our pets to funny animals to comics from my favorite comic artist. Some are full screen and some are more collage like.

Isn't it obvious? The first storage name reads the distro name. Arch Linux with Cinnamon 5.2.7 (because everything since 5.4.0 sucks).
I saw the cinnamon desktop. Missed the reference to Arch. I've been using Ubuntu/Kubuntu and might well remain with a Debian based distro since it's what I'm familliar with, but since my PC died, I've been looking at other distros and trying to gauge their strengths and weaknesses against my use case. Manjaro looks intriguing, as does Fedora and a few others.
Whatever I start with, I'll likely tinker with it 'til it's hardly recognizable as whatever I started with.
I had Ubuntu running KDE Plasma desktop, and cloning that drive from the 512GB to a 2TB and plugging it into the new build also has it's attractions, especially considering the tinkering I had to do just to get Overdrive and Adobe Digital Editions working in Wine.

I haven't owned a laptop or desktop in some years, so good question.

I used Mint (derivative from Ubuntu) for 4 years. Never again!
Ubuntu requires a package enema to make it run even a native game, let alone a Windows' game.
On Arch I just double click the exe and the game launches.
Good to know. I'll be giving Manjaro a test spin, then. Although, I never had trouble running native games, but Win games... Yeah, those could suck.
