Rape is man's will, just like any other thing. How do you think it makes a victim feel when someone tells them not only that their being raped was "meant to be", but that they are forced to have the child of the man that assaulted them?

Worse.

Many people don't give a shit when women are raped. Hell, many people clearly don't give a shit when men are raped either.

Collectively, I seem to see a commonality -- people whom are raped are considered to be lesser, reviled and despised.

I actually believe in the overall concept of what he is talking about, but would never be such an asshole to say what he did.....are politicians in other countries as brash as him and his ilk?

Lets say a new Superman movie comes out this weekend. In that movie Superman walks past an ally where a woman is getting raped, but in the movie Superman just watches and she gets her throat slit and he only does somthing AFTER she is raped and dies.

It is sick for anyone of any god claim to claim that that god set the game up to blame the game peices for the game they did not set up.

Now, how about a dose of reality. Rape happens, just like any bad event in nature, like volcanos and hurricanes and cancer. It is the dark side of evolution as ratio occurance. The good thing is that it is a MINORITY in our species and we have the positive reaction in reviling such brutality.

But there is no magic to any good or bad that happen in life and there is no one up in the sky causing it or stoping it or allowing it. Only humans can commit rape and only humans can stop rape.

Actually this sort of mentality is more typical of "bible believing" Christians with their notions of the sovereignty of god, etc than people who support the Republican Party.

Both Republican senate candidates who made these sorts of comments, were also "bible believing" Christians. So I believe that if both cease believing in the Bible as a guide for living your life, they and we would be vastly better off.
