Shame

Shame
Just why exactly are Christians and a lot of non-xtians ashamed of nudity? Many of them seem to be completely unashamed of poor hygiene or nutrition-induced obesity. But nudity? WHY are we supposed to be ashamed of THAT? Maybe because appreciating it would make us feel good... I mean, viewing naked attractive people is PLEASANT. It is also pleasant for them to be appreciated. In this way we us people feel powerful and not submissive as the slavery-driven religion wants us to see. We would feel good in our bodies and not imprisoned in them as the horrid dogmas postulate. Every time mankind tried to wake up from the nightmare of religion-driven world, e.g. in the 1700s or late 1800s, we usually started to believe in ourselves, that we humans are wonderful beings capable of wonderful things and not some frustrated meatbags ashamed of their own body...

RE: Shame
For Christianity to prosper, it needs to convince you that there are many things about yourself of which you should be ashamed. That and sexual repression makes people easier to control.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

So, what does this have to do with adults being nude?

RE: Shame
I find it so very amusing how the "noble" Christians like Drich plunge right down to the lowest common denominator when they suddenly see a chance of a "justified" attack at anyone which would let them ease their accumulated frustration. I also wonder if you will ever comment on Christian priests molesting children. But I suppose hypocrisy and anger coming from frustration are the very pillars of how your world works.

It appears only Drich needs a clarification, but I shall explain that I am talking about nudity in the context of adults exposing their bodies to other adults in various situations. I mean I heard a lot of people at the beginning of relationships etc. feeling "ashamed" of their nudity in front of their partner. Isn't this weird? These are two people who like each other, should anything like shame (?!) come into play in a situation like this? Or is it a learned habit coming from Xtian indoctrination, that has been pre-programmed even on a sub-conscious level?
