I bet they are trying to get him for his own lectures. I've heard YouTube taking down videos for similar reasons.

So, RD is suing Upper Branch (Josh Timonen) + others. Upper Branch apparently has filed DCMA takedown notices against RDF, in response, I would presume.
Standard legal pissing contest, I'd say. Furthermore, if the allegations in the complaint are true, Upper Branch is fucked. As I haven't heard their (his) side of the story, I wouldn't want to suggest that the allegations are true.
ETA: That suit was dropped quite some time ago (RD says because litigation was proving too costly, JT claims for lack of evidence). If you're implying that the youtube takedown was somehow a result of some court action connected to this case, it would appear that you're quite mistaken.
