The gun battle is one of those things you'll never be able to put a cap on. It's just to ingrained in American culture and not so much of a black and white answer. Crazy people are crazy people regardless, they'll find a way to kill people if they really want, but at the same time guns make it easier for them. Gun violence also kills more Americans per year then terrorism, and yet we try to ignore this problem with ignorance. The truth is, if the government wanted to take us over your guns won't prevent it. Not to mention a good amount of people within the military would not follow through with these orders. The gun industry is just like the tobacco industry as far as powers go, economics are more powerful than morals.

We couldn't even pass more background checks, I think your guns are safe and I salute you for halting the imaginative government takeover.

A white Florida man who killed a black teenager during a quarrel over loud music has testified he fired in self-defence after the boy threatened him.

Michael Dunn is charged with the November 2012 murder of Jordan Davis, 17, at a petrol station car park.

Mr Dunn, 47, told jurors he thought he saw the barrel of a shotgun in the vehicle after he asked Jordan Davis and three friends to turn down their music.

Police did not find a gun in the car the teenager was in.
