She's probably XXY. Some of the 'most beautiful transsexuals' seem to be. Got a friend who is, she is a fucking goddess by standards of pretty women. Such a shame she's completely straight Smile

Not that doctors didn't help, of course.

I don't care if it called me a Drug-Dealing Albino Mexican.

Obviously, I appreciate being addressed as she, her, sister, sis, daughter, auntie, niece, Violet, Lilly, Miss Blossom, Lil, Sae, Zia, girl, woman, bitch, slut, hooker, imp, lady, and one day mom, mother, and grandma.

I love your attitude girl!

Dissociative gender identity arises because of how the person themselves defines their gender identity; and this is environmental. "Playing with dolls" and that kind of thing. If you tell a boy he can't do "girl things" he could begin to think he's a girl. Cut out the "gender" and you pretty much have the textbook understanding of dissociative identity disorder as well. Same shit, but two very different outcomes.

Because me and my sister were playing with barbies when I was 5, and there were a bunch of female barbies, and one Ken doll. And I took his little plastic sword and symbolically lopped his penis off, and then broke a pretty dress by fitting it around him. Then mom came and and got pissed off at us (most of the barbies were naked, we hadn't gotten to dressing them up yet...)

Yeah, totally learned behavior. Gotta be.

For me at that age, it was the vulcan science officer T'Pol.

You... can. It just usually comes with less amazing surgeons, and with less potent results. Also much riskier.

Quote:Every case of dissociative identity disorder is treated as unique, and gender identity disorder should be approached in the same way. For the most part it is, but it also isn't. For instance, the validation of someone's gender dysphoria as their identity is at odds with the views on how to treat DID.

It definitely should be... especially coming from someone who was very dissociative throughout her earlier teenage years. I couldn't 'grasp' my own body, so I simply imagined my body was not. Spent most of my time in my head, I would wake up with little memory of the previous day, then I would wake up again.

I'd like to say I completely dealt with it, but I still spend more time as someone who isn't me than I spend as me. I find gaming and high-focus tasks (such as the forum) help me out. Way I figure though, it doesn't harm anyone and I've gotten so much better simply from estrogen/anti-androgens that I never need to talk to a psychologist about it.

Concurrent gender dysphoria and dissociative identity disorder. To this day, Perfect Blue (a psychological thriller about the latter of these) still wrecks me. I still don't trust shrinks, too often they wanted to put me on pills... always different pills. What a fucking waste that would have been.

I get really pissed at guys that don't like help or protection from girls/women or even smaller guys. I would gladly take protection from anyone. Why should I give one rats ass what someone has between their legs or what their sexuality is. If someone is protecting me from harm, that is what matters.

That really would have been nice back then. Some jackass picks on me and Xena comes up and says "Hey, back off before I knock your teeth in". And what a prom that would be too. Have her on my arm while all the pretty dolls look like nothing compared to her. I love kick ass women.

My parents were as sexually normal as any conservative parents should be expected to be. My childhood was very hurtful, the other girls would be making tea and putting on makeup and dressing up, and I wasn't allowed. I got punished most severely for dressing up in a red skin-tight dancer outfit with bells on it.

Yes, I was first raped when I was six, and had my first consensual moment of sex on my eighth birthday when a boy named Daniel slept over. I had just been given a PS2 by my parents too... we had a night of gaming and then some fun~. I was dissatisfied with my penis even at that age, 'if only I could just remove this...'.

Wait for it Violet, it should be on it's way shortly. You are the way you are because of the abuse. If you hadn't suffered the abuse you wouldn't have these desires.(Just getting ahead of our resident idiot).

Just like gays are gay because they get molested. You are just a rebel Violet. Find god and everything will be just peachy.

Funny, I wouldn't react violently if you were actively killing me. I wouldn't even dream of levying an attack upon another unless my children/friend/girlfriend were directly threatened, and even then... my first reaction is to use my body as a shield for them.

I think it's dysfunctional to be satisfied with being something less than yourself.

Sure I would, since I've never not been a girl. But it's true... I would not be the way I am without abuse. Not as my gender... but as my personality. I like who I am.

Boy, but I would like to disagree. My niece Grace could have been the most badass man ever to live. But she was born in the wrong body for that destiny... she'll have to settle for most badass woman to ever live, and yes, I am including the pirate. Smile

Yea, all of us take good input and bad input and react to it. But you are not attaching their baggage or any abuse to who you are, "I like who I am". That's good. That means you have dealt with the bad stuff very maturely.

I wish I had. I didn't deal well with all the crap I went through as a kid and teen.
