Anyone remember the band Living Colour?

If Hendrix and Hetfield and Vernon Reid auditioned for a band I was starting I would pick Reid. Living Colour kicked ass and unfortunately was undervalued. They are most famous for "Cult Of Personality".

Hah! Now there is a band I have not listened to in a long, long time. While Reid is a good player, there is something that I didn't like about his style. I think he is values crazy fast shredding to highly.

Anyway, this is him playing with my favourite guitarist of all time, Mr Buddy Guy. Wink

Although, bear in mind that this is from a documentary, so there is speaking in the middle.

WHAT? What is wrong with fast? Shit long before "And Justice For All" you had the likes of Ozborn and Cooper. And even without solos you had the speed of the Ramones.

Reid smokes most guitarists no matter the meme of the music.

I pointed out the fast shredding, because it isn't difficult to do. Tongue Or at least the way he does it it isn't. Although, this is only based on what I have heard of his. I am not that well versed in his work, but from what I have heard, he just does it too often for me to enjoy it much.

I saw them live somewhere around '89, '90... I was such a baby, but I still think they're sorely underrated, unlike some of the other shit I listened to back then.
