Pretty much. I mean, the question of when life begins is a profound and weighty one, both philosophically and scientifically. All I can say is that your idea that life begins at conception is manifestly wrong.

For one, no brain. No brain, no mind. No mind, no person. But even that misses the point that we as people are nothing more than our experiences in the world... like I said, complex issue. I can only narrow down the incorrect stances, and yours is one of them.

I'll take your argument seriously when you give me one example where a human life is "free and autonomous" at conception.

I think putting someone to death in an instance where we 'know' they committed whatever-horrible-shit would be cool. Fuck the death penalty, though. Innocent people die to that shit.

Nothing wrong with abortion.

Also, I think the argument that men shouldn't tell women what they can and can't do with their body or whatever is fallacious. So if the majority of other women want abortion to be illegal, that's what it should be? Dumbasses. Meh. What about women who can't even have babies? Do their opinions on abortion matter? If so, why? Don't answer, you're dumb. Also, I'm talking to myself.

Like it or not it is a medical fact that the fetus is a life threatening parasite.

Therefore it makes abortion up to birth ethical in my opinion. Indeed I would support the mercy killing of newborn babies who aren't expected to live for very long.

I am against abortion. The reason is that we don't know exactly when the "baby" is "alive" in the "awareness" sense. Therefore abortion can be potentially killing a soul/human. That's just cold.

Also another thing is that a baby is pretty much on the way. I understand the choice not have children etc...but when the baby is on it's way, preventing that is a whole different matter and is not analogous to condoms or pregnancy prevention pills.

It's one of the coldest things humans can do in my honest opinion. I dread at the thought that so much of society is supporting it.

There is of course exceptions to the rule. For example, if the life of the mother is severely in danger, perhaps this is a grey area.

But over all, I'm against it.

Wow. Quite a discussion and all I get to do is dump my post and run.

Anyway, I don't like the idea of the state having control over certain things. Reproduction is one of those things. I'm not fond of the state putting people to death, either. In general, the government we have now exercises its power for the benefit of the rich and powerful while the hudled masses get the shaft.
