Speak for your own life.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

A plane that's up in the sky ostensibly has fuel enough to get up there in the first place, and its 'meaning' (read: purpose) is to get somewhere. Because the hand of god doesn't move us anywhere.

Must be a pretty sad life for you if god's the only meaning you've got.

Me, I've got my family, my friends, my fiancee, my writing, music, videogames, books, movies, tv, nature, science, new toys, and certainly not least of all, my dog. And I found all of that without divine guidance.

How about that shit?

Everybody knows that planes with no fuel just stop!
Here's proof: (skip to 8:10)

I heard this one from a super nice Christian in a mental hospital that had just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 40.

"You may not believe in god, but god believes in you."
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Unfortunately my work comp isn't showing the video (I don't have a sound driver anyway).

It still doesn't change the fact that the plane had a meaning and purpose. The fuel doesn't give it purpose, it just gives it a means to do what it was constructed to do. However, as there is no god who constructed us, it's left to us to build things with purpose.
