Don't start telling fibs Ide88, it is not a relateing to a specific situation...
here it is in its full context.

While it pertains to contract law, it makes quite plain that the testimony of women is only worth half of that of men and therefore would be valid in court under sharia law. And by definition would extend to all parts of sharia law.

Evidence? What evidence?

You merely posted this:

Quote:That was only in that specific situation, 1 woman testify=1 man
24/6. And for those who accuse their wives, but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies by Allah that he is one of those who speak the truth.

7. And the fifth the invoking of the Curse of Allah on him if he be of those who tell a lie.

8. But it shall avert the punishment from her, if she bears witness four times by Allah, that he is telling a lie.

9. And the fifth should be that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if he speaks the truth.

no sources or anything, simply an interpertation by yourself.

I can give this:

Quote:"They ask you about menstruation. Say: 'It is an indisposition. Keep aloof from women during their menstrual periods and do not approach them until they are clean again; when they are clean, have intercourse with them whence God enjoined you....'" Quran 2:222, "The Cow," Dawood, p. 34

"Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please." Quran 2:223, "The Cow," Dawood, p. 34

"Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart, and beat them." Quran 4:34, "Women," Dawood, p. 83

"A male shall inherit twice as much as a female." Quran 4:11, "Women," Dawood, p. 77

"Call in two male witnesses from among you, but if two men cannot be found, then one man and two women whom you judge fit to act as witnesses..." Quran 2:282, "The Cow," Dawood, p. 47

"Women shall with justice have rights similar to those exercised against them, although men have a status above women." Quran 2:228, Dawood, p. 35

"If you fear that you cannot treat [orphan girls] with fairness, then you may marry other women who seem good to you: two, three, or four of them. But if you fear that you cannot maintain equality among them, marry one only or any slave-girl you may own." Quran 4:3, "Women," Dawood, p. 76

"If you are in doubt concerning those of your wives who have ceased menstruating, know that their waiting period shall be three months. The same shall apply to those [of your wives] who have not yet menstruated." Quran 65:4, "Divorce," Dawood, p. 557 [Dawood notes: "On account of their young age. Child marriages were common."]

"[Forbidden to you are] married women, except those whom you own as slaves." Quran 4:24, "Women," Dawood, p. 81

"You shall not wed pagan women, unless they embrace the Faith. A believing slave-girl is better than an idolatress, although she may please you. Nor shall you wed idolaters, unless they embrace the Faith." Quran 2:221, "The Cow," Dawood, p. 34.

"Scum".......

Are you trying to initiate another flame war? I shall keep that in mind.

I also know how the quaran is understood by muslims.

And it is used as a tool to denigrate, control and kill women throughout the muslim world.

You can bleat as much as you like about how that is not "really" islam.

But the fact of the matter is that women are treated abominably under your rather detestable religion and I can provide hundreds of examples.

Funny thing, is he/she/it ignores real evidence that counters his beliefs. Then he/she/it just attacks people blatantly.

So essentially ideo, you don't have the chutzpah to just up and leave and have to play the victim card (why is this so necessary for the religious?) so you can boast to your mates that "You were hard done by, those damned atheists, lest make a fatwa/ jihad!"

Pathetic ideo. Just another reason your religion must be very weak, if you resort to this political tactic.

No, because you remind me WHY religion(and not just islam) is such a blight on humanity.

I find your stone age religion offensive.

Those pictures are sound evidence of how the religion is interpreted. When the apologist keep stating "Its the fundamentalist!" Well, sounds like they are practicing the religion fundamentally, and everyone else is not.

Those pictures are just horrible. I'll never forget when I stumbled upon the image of women (and some men) being hung from the Olympic diving boards in afghan. Image burned into my mind.
