Obviously quite a bit. Not all are bad and most may be good, but they all protect the bad which makes the system bad. Think 'Nazi SS' when you think of the American police system.

One of the places I lived at had only a few good cops. I don't have horror stories really, but was given a ticket by some bastard that thought I was sleeping with his niece (I fought it and won), and was again taken to jail by the same bastard on another incident where he claimed I was drunk. No proof either time and charges were dropped. He was eventually fired for harassing Mexicans. I didn't have my head busted in or anything, but he was a crooked cop that went by his own agenda.

There are great cops out there too, but some really shitty ones. It should be harder to get a job with such responsibilities, because you don't want any random a-hole on a power trip playing god. It doesn't end well.

I was living at the same place where the cops made national news for shooting and killing a family's dog, that was passing through on the holidays in 2002. I'm sure that video is still on youtube somewhere, and it is obvious the dog was not out to get anyone. Poor thing though it was restroom break time.

A woman dressed in body armor fired shots at multiple people yesterday afternoon, resulting in a police chase on Hixson Pike, which ended in the woman's arrest.

No, that wasn't the part that did it. This was.

The chase ended at the intersection of Cloverdale Drive and Koblan Drive, as Shields pointed her firearm at an officer, before being taken into custody without incident or injury.

Really? Pointed her gun at an officer and didn't get shot? A 12 year old black kid with a toy gets 2 seconds (maybe) before being blown away by a Killer Kop but this woman is merely "taken into custody?"

I wonder why?
