RE: The Actual Cross of Jesus Discovered!
Does this mean we might be able to get a look at The Holy Y Chromosome? They should name the book that.

Well, that sold me. I'm convinced. I hereby renounce my atheistic stance and humanist principles, and will be proceeding to the church immediately to become baptized.

...Wait...which church is the one I'm supposed to go to...?

It'd be a bitchin' name for an indie band.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Does the theist's credulity know any bounds? No, it does not.

I should sell cross pieces on the net. Seriously. I should. Quit my day job. Retire early.

Jesus H Christ in a sidecar!

Yeah, I can see the disclaimer at the bottom of the page now.

It isn't really a piece of the cross of the savior. BUT WHAT IF IT WAS?

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

That's all bullshit.
The actual cross was sold to a cellulose connoisseur festival somewhere just past Epsilon Indi.
There are some partial records of a sale of true cross roach shit to some... weirdoes.
I can't trace the provenance any further but I can make up something if you want.

No no no, I want him to come out of the cloning machine with some huge, really obvious flaw. Like maybe he's got a really annoying voice. Or he actually looks like a Frankenstein.

Or hell, maybe he just turns out to be a really cool guy who curses and drinks and sins unrepentantly because he's got common sense.

*Gasp* Or maybe he comes out gay! Confused Fall

Well...let me break the tie for you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Prepuce

Quote:The Holy Prepuce, or Holy Foreskin (Latin præputium or prepucium) is one of several relics attributed to Jesus, a product of the circumcision of Jesus.

At various points in history, a number of churches in Europe have claimed to possess Jesus' foreskin, sometimes at the same time. Various miraculous powers have been ascribed to it.

Now this isn't just some village idiot saying it.

Quote:Foreskin relics began appearing in Europe during the Middle Ages. The earliest recorded sighting came on December 25, 800, when Charlemagne gave it to Pope Leo III when the latter crowned the former Emperor. Charlemagne claimed that it had been brought to him by an angel while he prayed at the Holy Sepulchre

As far as I know the muslims don't claim to have mohammed's.
