The catholic church itself does not demand creationism as a belief. There is room for intelligent designers, and evolutionism in most Christian theology. You show your ignorance by not debating real Christians but a small subset or maybe in your mind an ugly twisted caricature of all Christians. Not really important to every day life. Stick to basing your reality on the plainly observable if that's all you can muster. Dismiss all the miracles, historical evidence of biblical accounts and Christ, holes in evolution, and the beginning of the universe, etc.
