Inspired by the cover of Paul McCartney’s 2001 album Driving Rain:





I decided to create a new aesthetic. The image was taken on a Casio WQV3 wristwatch. While the watch’s camera was apparently capable of more depth, I decided to take the specs for the display on the watch as my guide.
Color depth: 16 shades of grey (4-bit)
Resolution: 176x144 pixels (25,344 pixels total, with the listed resolution being a reasonable derivation from that total.)

My jar of Classico vodka sauce arrived. It's one of the few vodka sauces that I haven't tried. Vodka sauce is a staple in my diet. I just need to decide whether to try it with the good pasta or the everyday pasta. I also picked up a jar of Bertolli vodka sauce. I didn't like it when I first started trying different sauces, but perhaps I'll like it better now that I have a more developed palate for pasta sauces.

Went to a law firm to sign the documents for our latest revision of my trust. It was a fairly routine visit, and the most interesting thing I saw was a surprising amount of Lincoln memorabilia. Things like:

• A poster of the Emancipation Proclamation.
  
• A framed reproduction of the Bixby letter.
  
• A lithograph of him returning home to Springfield after he won the Presidency.
  
• A cartoon of the Lincoln memorial weeping. Given its 1963 date, it's probably a reference to the JFK assassination.
  
• A picture that he suspsects is actually a portrait of Andrew Johnson with Lincoln's head attached to it.
  
• Several photographs dating back to his presidency.
  

After that, Dad tried to go to a nearby security store to get a key duplicated. He looked inside, and saw a number of lights. He said that from this, it might be open. However, he ignored the big lighted sign that said "CLOSED" until I pointed it out. If that isn't an illustration of optimism,  I don't know what is.
