And christianity is any different? They have justified discrimination, hate, wars, slavery, you name it in the name of religion. Yet they changed. Not as much as they need, but they are far better than they were 500 years ago. They still justify hate, discrimination and wars, but not as bad.

A lot of the problems today in the middle east comes from the tribal culture and quite frankly from poverty. When you live in poverty it is easy to find a greener path on the otherside and justify some of the worst crimes. As muslims move into this country and given time their culture changes. Religion doesn't triumph culture, it is the other way around.

It is arguable but there is something profoundly appealing and fulfilling with regard to human metaphysical contemplation. People love to imagine alternate realities and superior beings...Perhaps it is mankind's way of projecting a sort of human evolutionary archetype to aspire to? Who knows with certainty and to be sure I'm all for promoting that innate human tendency, I'm just not for the dogma and mental; psychological enslavement that often come with it.

When I see Polish catholics publicly denouncing jews as "those who crucified Jesus", the viciousness of eastern and southern European christians and hear speeches by US representatives from the south aswell as read through headlines and statistics concerning the South, I am pritty sure and confident in saying that the only difference between the Islamic and "Christian Taliban" is that the violence.

If no one is afraid, then they should be. No matter what type of government a nation has, if that nation has a mass populace of Muslims then those governments must consider this when creating laws. Here is a list of Muslim majority countries.

You are woefully ignorant of history and people if you think that. I'm certain Constantine's father thought as you did, and all of his immense persecution did nothing to stop Christianity's takeover of the Roman Empire. In other words, persecution can very easily galvanize a group to violence and resistance, even if the vast majority would be otherwise against such behavior.

That is a false analogy. This is about a massive group of people who are not all ideologically the same. And that play on numbers is ALWAYS used. Do you go around punching everyone simply because there are a small number of individuals who might punch you for no apparent reason? Of course not. Funny how fanatics in the arab world believe in conspiracies of a "crusader culture" and that the Europeans want to take over the arab world.
