I'm a woman. And I never claimed to agree with Deidre. I'd actually have to go back and read her post to remember what she said past when you word-gamed her. And you're STILL willfully misunderstanding me if you are going to insist that I am taking a position I never took. It's disappointing, but I'm sure I'll get over it.
Okay. You never agreed with her. You were just mad because of my tone.

But that's a contentless criticism on a forum where everyone's tone is dripping with tender loving care. All this time I thought you were making a criticism that was about content, not form.

Consider the correction accepted, and your criticism duly noted. You don't have to participate in the discussion any further if you don't have anything substantial to say about the content of my post.

And you'll never know...

Considering you're not defending your error anymore tells me that maybe you just need a way to be corrected while keeping your ego intact, macho man. Wink

I've come to realize that stating the same thing over and over is a bit tiresome and apparently useless... and I have better things to do with my time.
I don't even remember what it was about and I'm not going back to check.
Enjoy!

Correct.

No, I was pointing out a dishonest tactic. You are still deliberately mischaracterizing me. It's really boring to have to keep doing this so

RE: Purchasing One's Atheism Cheaply
I had to have years of thinking over my faith before I reached the conclusion that it was all a lie. I didn't 'cheaply' buy into atheism I had to fight against my upbringing and things that I had internalized over my entire lifetime to get to where I am, and where am I? In a place where I no longer rely on a deity that doesn't exist, where I don't reprimand myself over blasphemy or religious thought crime (or thought sin if you will), where I am fully rational and can appreciate the one and only life I will ever have because I don't have to waste my time sending prayers to something that isn't there and being afraid of some imaginary construct's hell.

It's not my fault, nor any other atheist's for that matter, that theist arguments are so weak that they have been repeatedly taken down for years and that people have references and history to rely upon instead of years of schooling.

Not everyone is of grand intellect, and frankly it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to see through religious bullshit.

For those of us who were indoctrinated from an early age, such as myself, it takes a lot of willpower and time spent ruminating over what is true and can be proven to come to the conclusion that there is no god. Atheism is anything but cheap and you and that ass you quoted are dead wrong.
