But I don't hate the church. Hell I photographed quite a few in England and Europe. Very picturesque. The music can be nice. People seem to enjoy the comradery and some do a lot of good through charity. Nothing to hate there.

It is when the religious seek to enforce their moral choices on the general public through secular law that I chafe. If they think their religion gives them inspiration for a legislative improvement I would simply ask that they argue for it on secular grounds.

I certainly don't hate 'god' - whatever that may be. Far from it. When I was a believer I thought he was the greatest. Now - and this may be where my prideful intellect gets in my way - I don't even know what people mean by 'god' anymore. Really. It means lots of different things to lots of different people, but it is an empty signifier to me.

Believe what you will, we all do.

Au contraries. It's the Christians who are tired of the liberal religion of secularism leveraging their way on legislation that has us so frustrated and peeling away all ur freedoms.

You know when I answer multiple points for you and you simply grab one shiny bit to respond to because it helps launch you into a favorite whine .. well it isn't very satisfying to communicate with you. You can tell someone who is worth communicating with based on how well they listen to what you say. (You failed.)

Oh, and pro tip: don't copy the page of text you clearly didn't read just to post your one liner response. Bad form.

I suppose, since you did not trouble yourself to enumerate, you are referring to not being able to discriminate against people for being gay, or refusing to provide proper and full women's health care sans co-pay in insurance plans because you believe god would not like it? I probably missed a few, but you get the idea.

Seems to me the right to discriminate is a lousy choice of a right to push for.Thinking

The fact that he was hit by a runaway banhammer will likely imply his continued silence.

1. The freedom to chose when and how your child learns about homosexual relationships.

2. The freedom to chose whether or not your daughter has to get vaccinated for an STD @ 10 years old.

Why do you have to be bringing my kind into this, homophobe?

Besides, there being absolutely nothing wrong with gay relationships, what does it matter that children learn about them?

Additionally, you CAN'T control when your kid learns about them. My nephew learned the word "fag" at school when he was 6. Depressing, but true. So we all had to have conversations with him about that word and what it meant and why it was hurtful and how the world isn't all married mommies and daddies. We weren't ready for it, and we're a pretty fucking gay-friendly family. So no, you don't get to choose. Sorry to break it to you. There's always treating your kid like Rapunzel, I guess.

***As to the STD question: if you want your daughter to die from a sexual mistake, or a rape, then by all means, be a shitty parent.

Oh, you poor little fuckwads. My heart weeps for your inability to raise your kid to be a shithead. Not that you ever had any control to begin with over that to begin with.

And, specifically, what does your stupid religion have against vaccinations?

Strawmen abound in deez har parts...

1st, you know nothing about how my children are raised.
2nd, the aversion to the vaccination is not religious.

I don't. I have only your implication that you think you're not free to raise your child to be a homophobic shithead. The fault lies in your phrasing.

Which would seem to make it not a violation of your religious freedom, then.
