I poise a question.

Why just because you say so, I do not think so. I've had plenty of instructors over many years that answered a question with a question and I never complained.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Oh, you've had instructors that make it a habit of circumventing directly answering you? That explains your insistence on being an annoying douche when people try to talk to you and ask questions about you. Your instructors were apparently awful.

To caveat, you are in no way obligated to answer any questions. But if you aren't here for meaningful discussion, then why are you still hanging out?

That is a question most believers don't think about and the ones who do get asked use the excuse "He said he wouldn't do that".

But if god is "all powerful" to set a limit like "he cant lie" would make him not all powerful.

So it would still not address your rightful question "how would you know".

When we look at the messy reality an "all powerful" and "all loving" god does not jive. No sane person would set it up like this, so that means humans have better morals than the god they believe in.

I'd say they simply don't want to accept the imperfect messy reality we actually live in, it isn't sexy enough for them.

Exactly right Godschild.

A false dilemma is not a valid question.
And we do not HAVE to choose one or the other.

Ask a real atheist which religion is more likely to be true.

The question I asked GC was; are you a born-in or did you convert later in life. There is no false dilemma here. It's just a question that he refuses to answer.

I have tried to explain to you that moral dilemmas are designed to help you establish a hierarchy of morality. You just avoid them because...

because....

you have no morals?

He doesn't have to answer, but to satisfy the demands of the question he only has two choices. Not picking one leaves the question hanging still. Stop helping to perpetuate stubborn asshatery, Lion.

I hate to bring this up but actually he has one choice, of two options. He's still chosen to evade the question, though, for reasons that may never becpme clear.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It appears obvious. I would say it's most likely that he shares the religion of his upbringing. It would certainly explaing his reluctance to answer the question

It would appear that the cosmic cupcake that GC and some others worship has a very strict rule against actually answering a question.

You have no clue what "false dilemma" actually means. None.
