A theist: Even though our religious beliefs may separate us, I believe in your patriotism. Yet one thing is abundantly clear to me about the political ideals espoused by most of the people on this website are an insurrection against the foundations that have made this country so amazing. Many characters on this website use terms like "Republicunts", "Teahadists", "Teabaggers", etc to somehow make their argument plausible. Using words like these not only make them look ignorant, but fools for resorting to behavior that a 5 year old would envision.

This will be my last post on this website, since I cannot stand the liberal mantra that seems to be espoused on this website. Liberals will never understand the dangers of government, taxation, and excessive regulations. Government is NOT our savior as so many people seem to think. It is an abomination to see how far left the Democrat machine has entrenched itself. Personally, I believe many previous Democrats would be rolling in their graves if they surfaced to see the ideals that seem to emanate from the mouths of people who apply the Democrat label today.

One thing you will not change is the devotion that the Democrats have in creating their own little island, where everyone thinks the same. Ultimately, Reid and his minions will realize the dangerous precedent that they have set.

I will close with this quote and liberals really need to think about this one. "Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country."--John F. Kennedy. Compare this quote to the ideals espoused today by the liberals and you only will see how far the Democrats have left from their goals and ideals and have been captured by Marx and Engels. John F. Kennedy must truly be rolling in his grave to see how much the Democrat party embraces elements of Socialism and/or Communism. What a disgrace.

I enjoy the irony in your reference to JFK. Civil rights, labor rights, federal aid to education, public housing, foreign aid, minimum-wage increases, extended unemployment insurance, Social Security expansion...but you cite him as one of the last good democrats, and call Obama's administration "socialist"?

I can't imagine that Senator Obama could foresee the unprecedented, historical manner in which Republicans would abuse the filibuster when he said that. He was not speaking as a member of a Congress which had spent years of nearly total seizure thanks to a dedicated effort by the minority party to obstruct absolutely everything the President was doing.

Nobody in 2005 predicted just how treasonously ineffective the GOP was destined to become. If only they knew a black man was going to become President, they could have perhaps prepared for it.

To begin with, I never made such a claim. Secondly, the ones who keep insisting that Baracko is a Muslim from Kenya and who keep demanding his birth certificate do so, not because of his race, but because they're another group of conspiracy theorists like the so-called '911 Truthers' are. They suspect Barack is foreign born and that he's a Muslim. Has nothing to do with his race, but has everything to do with Barack being a lying and conniving redistribution asshole...aside from what Jaysyn provided, I also provided, in Senator Barack's own words, that when the filibuster worked to his advantage in the Senate, he was for it and fought to keep it, saying, "If the right of free and open debate is taken away from the minority party, and the millions of Americans who ask us to be their voice, I fear that the partisan atmosphere in Washington will be poisoned to the point where no one will be able to agree on anything." Eight years later he's against it because it doesn't work to his advantage. So, he and the other fascist leftwingers in the Senate try to shut down anyone who disagrees with them.
