Pro abortion or not
RE: Pro abortion or not

The terms are political in nature, and are chosen in order to put the opposing view on the defensive, by implying that they are either anti-life or anti-choice. The latter is the more accurate of the two, since anti-abortionists take an absolute stance with implied enforcement.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Both terms are not representative of the totality and complexity of abortion.
So it would be a victory to see this wording changed and taken out of the political arena altogether.

Don't believe everything the media offers.

If there is money to be made on promoting ideas that divide repubs and democrats, I tend to not believe what I'm hearing/reading, entirely.

I'm an independent, our political system needs reform.

I'm not believing "The Media" - I'm believing environmental science, and environmental scientists like the ones that taught my environmental science class. Wink

I do agree that we need a complete overhaul of the two-party system. That's a zero-sum game and it's middle-lower class America that loses.

I respectfully distrust both repubs and democrats. They are more in bed with each other than you think. :/

Especially in Alabama. Both parties are racist as FUCK, which is why Patricia Todd, the state's token out gay legislator, is an independent.

I agree that the data is sobering but I'm optimistic. Maybe too?
