Lee Kuan Yew is still alive and well and both nations regularly refer to this part of their history in the politics, this isn't ancient history. Everyone who grew up there knows what happened.

You are comparing a country that has declared supremacy for muslims over nonmuslims and has made that one of the inviolable principle of their governing with a country with a history of slavery that has black history month and holidays for prominent black figures.

And I'm not "sensitive", Malaysia has been used many times to make many political points, and is misunderstood by almost everyone, I don't like it when people do that.
