'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

Why do humans have a tailbone? Darwin's Tubercle? Wisdom Teeth?

Here's a more exhaustive list:

Why do whales have vestigial skeletal hind legs? Snakes?

Were they designed-in too?

All higher lifeforms are in a constant state of evolution. Consequently none of them are in their final forms. If humans continue to exist they will look vastly different in another 500,000 to one million years. Maybe by that time seals will be completely ocean-dwelling animals.

"This idea of "progression" in evolution is now regarded as misleading, with natural selection having no intrinsic direction and organisms selected for either increased or decreased complexity in response to local environmental conditions.[4] Although there has been an increase in the maximum level of complexity over the history of life, there has always been a large majority of small and simple organisms and the most common level of complexity (the mode) appears to have remained relatively constant."

For instance the reason I ask is why god needed to send Jesus to suffer for sin? why cant he forgive sin? If god is all powerful why not forgive and for go the whole Jesus suffering in the first place? So is God bound to a rule that says he (the Father) cant forgive sin unless he (the son) suffers for it? why go through the trouble, confusion and utter ridiculousness unless he is bound to not forgive? If so who or what is stopping him? All I can say is if I had created everything time, space, and everything ever to exist why limit myself an all knowing all powerful being to something as trivial as forgiveness??? Seems to be a huge waste of time to create sin and forgiveness and punish for the sin but cant forgive for it. Unless you create a clone of yourself to do it for you?????? Is it only me or is this odd behavior, and thinking for an all knowing being? any thoughts would be great Thanks

lets put it this way, the god of the bible is argued to be "sovereign", therefore he can do whatever the f**k he wants to do, regardless if we think its right or wrong, he shall not be questioned because, again argued by xians, "we cant understand his reasons". Sooooo hes just an asshole in short answer along side the whole thing being bullshit

it isn't in our nature to think of a God, it is in our nature to seek answers and the concept of God is most influenced in this world.

Apparently "god" can be as evil as it wants, and its followers will do amazing mental gymnastics to justify them.
Dying to live, living to die.

Christians do indeed god has rules as for some reason he cannot redeem mankind without sacrificing his son. This also negates omnipotence and omniscience as well ironically.
I myself may add that God to some extent has involuntary actions such as creation. Involuntary actions are one thing but creating your own set of principles is another.
