It's just as good for christians as anyone else, because it protects them too, but they sometimes fail to see it because they already have so much power in the USA. They feel like they're losing their hold on the country, having to respect other beliefs. It doesn't help that their holy book talks about christians being persecuted, and that differing beliefs should be stamped out.

Well I guess I am secular then but that is of no surprise. I am not exactly fond of religion to begin with and its' influence in society and molding of culture.

I was secular until the last caveat. Sorry, but if you're version of secular means people aren't to be excused for religious observance, then I say the fuck with that....
