Welcome, and yes Islam is certainly based on a bunch of lies centred around the Christian teachings being "corrupt". In the 6th/7th century without all the evidence we have now, you could theorize that the Biblical books had been significantly altered by generations of deliberate tampering, but we now have solid proof that it's not true. Mormonism is based on exactly the same premise.
