Do you mean to ask if we didn't dismantle Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan than the U.S would've been repeatedly attacked and possibly shaken at the core? The answer is yes I do. They have to be chased till they're captured and opposed till they're no more. We have to do that wherever they are. Maybe not everywhere on a conventional-scale war, but not taking action is simply delaying the conflict, not preventing it.
PM me if you know where this is from "...knees in the breeze" and don't look it up!!

So your conclusion is that america HAD TO go to afghanistan and not doing it would result in bad things?

Taliban and AQ have made attacks on other countries as well. Special Forces are not design to remove an organization from a country. Many of the allies are hidden and unknown.

Taliban and AQ are not just after the US, but many other countries. Islam is problematic state. We would eventually have to deal with the organizations.

Afghanistan was a NATO lead with USA allies assistance. Russia really fucked up Afghanistan, and Afhgani culture is fucked up as well.

What? Russia invaded Afghanistan in the early 80s. They used scorch earth tactics.

Yes, the CIA (after footage of the massacres occurring there), and no Afghanistan was not fucked before the Soviets.

So, I come from USA, and I do not hide the fact that we have bad things, such as I do not agree with the invasion of Iraq. Soviet left the country of Afghanistan in ruins, and for what? Why did they invade only to leave?
