"God's Not Dead" Movie?
#11
RE: "God's Not Dead" Movie?
I've heard of it through atheist youtubers. Given that the guy playing the atheist, Kevin Sorbo, is a believer himself, I wouldn't be surprised if this was nothing more than a christian propaganda film. I haven't seen it, and I don't see any reason to. Kevin's character is protrayed as one of those stereotypical "bitter at god" atheists that's just angry because something bad happened in his life.

It seems that the best thing christians have to counter their lack of solid evidence is money, so they're using it to push out a slew of pro christian films. Two Noah's Ark films, this one, and the one about the kid who went to heaven. Maybe more. That's the new strategy they have.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.

I couldn't watch more than a minute or two of someone shouting "fuck" and "shit." If someone is going to waste their time making a video, at least make it funny or interesting.

I can't sit through this tyhpe of film. I've made myself endure some pretty terrible movies, but I will never make myself sit through this type of filth again. I've done it once, and I was left disgusted by it for days.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

No, I haven't seen it, nor will I ever see it.

If I want to see lies about atheists and Christian propaganda I can look up almost any Christian page on the 'Net.

Its a movie for Christians, especially the evangelicals in the US, I presume, so I have not seen it, and probably won't either.
