I would love to see what you consider an example of your relative lack of political bias, in the form of a quote showing you rejecting a conservative position on anything ever, because I sure as hell don't remember ever seeing you do it.

I've posted in other threads that I support the rights of workers to organize labor unions and I also support "just cause protection" laws. I don't like some of the thuggish tactics that I've seen from the public sector unions but until states start recognizing the need for more rights of workers and begin passing "just cause protection" legislation to protect their job security I'll stick with unions.
I believe there's only one or two states in this country that have "just cause" legislation, Montana being one of them. In that state a company has to give a reason for terminating an employee. Wrongfully discharged employees in that state can sue up to four years for back pay and recover attorney's fees. It's been a while since I checked on that though, but that's how it stood unless things have changed there....

Your turn...I would love to see what you consider an example of your relative lack of political bias, in the form of a quote showing you rejecting a liberal position on anything ever,

Former Bush administration official states that they would have done the prisoner exchange as well.

Quote:I’m not saying this is clearly an easy choice but frankly I think a Republican, a president of either party, Republican or Democratic, confronted with this opportunity to get back Sgt. Bergdahl, who is apparently in failing health, would have taken this opportunity to do this,” he added. “I think we would have made the same decision in the Bush administration.”

Yeah, so. I disagree with the guy. Five high level Taliban terrorists for one deserter. Sweet deal for the Taliban, not a good deal for us, unless Bergdahl has vital intel to share. I doubt that would be the case though. This whole outcry against the way Obama handled this mess isn't just coming from the Republicans. Democrats are speaking out too. Senator Dianne Frankenstein was not only against the swap, but she's also pissed that barack did the trade without even giving Congress the 30 day notice, as required by law, that he was going to do this.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/201406...gdahl.html

Quote:Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.), chairwoman of the Senate intelligence committee, confirmed Tuesday that she and other senior lawmakers first discussed the possibility of a prisoner swap with administration officials in 2011.

"There were very strong views and they were virtually unanimous against the trade," she said.....

The White House apologized to Feinstein and to top committee Republican Saxby Chambliss....(for not giving Congress a thirty day notice as required by law).

more former comrades accused Bergdahl of desertion, the head of the Joint Chiefs left open the possibility of charges against him.

Bergdahl's so-called failing health is now being questioned.

A Theist, Have you ever served in the Armed Forces?

He is an US Citizen, which was captured by the enemy. You may not agree with his delusional desertion. War effects people in many different ways.

We go back and get the men and women who served. He will be punished according to the law after an investigation. Innocent until proven guilty. We did not see him post how to kill or kidnap Americans abroad. He was a private, and could not provide much information on operations aboard. His threat for desertion was very low.

The five useless fucks are just that. I do not see a problem and nor do I see them causing a problem for USA.

I have to admit, that's pretty noble. Now answer me this: without big, bad government to make sure that workers have these rights recognized, and to make sure that employers abide by them, what good are these laws? What good is this noble position of yours when anybody you ever vote for is going to do exactly the opposite?

I never claimed to be unbiased. I can think of very few conservative political positions that don't strike me as inhumane, petty, self-absorbed and/or destructive. The leaders of American conservatism are engaged in one-upping each other to see who can come up with the worst ideas and who can come up with the best justification for harming other people. The relatively sane and humane bunch are derided as RINOs.

John McCain was rumored to have worked with the enemy prior to his release.

Perhaps the likes of AT would have lobbied to leave JM to rot.

To hell with military justice, eh AT?

This is just another Benghazi for you, ghoul.

Hey, anyone remember when McCain thought trading prosoners for POWs was a great idea?

Don't forget that Bush had no problem negotiating with terrorist during his presidency. When the surge in Iraq occurred along with that was paying off terrorists to prevent terrorism. It worked of course until the Iraq government took over and stopped paying off the sunni's. End result, more attacks again.
