Well, there are wars and rumors of wars. Of course, that prophesy was already "coming true" before it was made, so there's that.

Gee, the Baptists seem awfully determined to ensure a biblical prophecy doesn't come true.

Yet...it still remains and even in the apologetic nonsense that you posted all they can do is make excuses for why god is such a fuck up. Truly, gods should be made of sterner stuff!

You know. I bet I could go to Lebanon and buy a T-Shirt that says "I went to Tyre, Lebanon and got this lousy t-shirt because they are still fucking here to sell them!"

And the xtians will shriek and gnash their teeth and beat their breasts but Tyre remains.

Fuck them all.

Tyre is described as being in the Garden of Eden. It's king ticked off the Emperor and was exiled. It's probably where the Adam and Eve story came from.

One of the commandments is that the people shouldn't eat shellfish. That doesn't make sense for a bunch of desert goat ropers since they wouldn't have access to shrimp and lobster. It could have been an economic sanction against the Tyre fishermen as a punishment for their king's action of collaborating with the enemy.

Tyre is a story of Lucifer and what he gave up by challenging God's sovereignty, the Israelites inhabited the land to the Mediterranean Sea and if I'm not mistaken that's where shrimp, lobsters, clams and oysters live. So, your idea of punishing the fisherman of Tyre holds no water.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Tyre far pre-dates this biblical bullshit and has nothing the fuck whatever to do with later fables.

Didn't God tell them not to eat shellfish?

How long does it take to transport seafood from Ashdod on the Mediterranean Sea to Jerusalem by donkey?

Jerusalem is only 60 miles from the coast and many Israelites lived on the coast, you seem to be having trouble understanding this.

Tyre is about the only town in the Bible that's described as being in the Garden of Eden. I think that's noteworthy considering that Genesis has Adam & Eve living in a pastoral jungle with just the animals.
