Q about arguments for God's existence.

No no no, you've got that kinda backwards, and I see why: it's much easier to just pretend that everyone here is against you because they hate you, rather than that your arguments are a big load of bollocks.

But we don't hate christians just because they're christians; many of us have christian family members whom we love. My future mother in law, for whom I have the utmost respect and admiration, is a devout christian. No, what we hate are bad arguments, and the people who'll try to dishonestly sneak them in as fact and then refuse to acknowledge that they're wrong on any point. We hate sneaky creationist weasels who quote mine, play fast and loose with definitions and sources, and just ignore any responses they can't handle.

If we hate you at all, it's because if the dishonest way in which you conduct yourself, not your religion. For contrast, go back and look at the way the majority of the forum interacted with Jacob(smooth) back when he first started out here, presenting as a christian. Your claim is demonstrably false.

A lot of your other ones are too, actually. Your Trex claim sits refuted right in the middle of Talk Origin's "Index of Creationist claims," meaning it's so obviously refuted a thousand times that these guys took notice. As for your fiat assertion that carbon dating doesn't work (because you don't want it to,) gee, I wonder who I should believe? The scientists who've spent decades being trained in the field in question and who are subject to rigorous peer review whenever they make claims in public, or the anonymous, sourceless ramblings of a creationist with a history of posting incorrect things as though they were true, and absolutely no training or education in a relevant field? Thinking

How about we start here: multiple claims that you've made have been refuted and proven wrong. Yet more have been shown to be quote mines, or only a portion of a complete article, taken out of context. I'd like you to retract those claims and admit that you were wrong, before we continue. Accountability for one's wrongdoings is important, both in debate and also apparently in your religion, so please: you were wrong. Do go ahead and admit that.

So, there were Martians AND dina-sours living with humans at the same time?

Sure, why the fuck not. Hell, jesus is probably just off-frame. Might as well get em all under the same tent.

True. Can't prove he isn't!

Ridicule. Ridiculize isn't even a word, Americanised spelling notwithstanding.

Your imagination?

You might be interested to know that we have had many religious members who have been polite, intelligent and well respected. We have had religious members of staff. AtheistForums is a mirror, it seems; reflecting back upon you what you already carry with you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Argument from big, scary numbers. Bonus points for big, scary colours.

I don't suppose it's worth my asking for a citation for all this?

Oh he eventually gave a citation. It's just that the big scary number doesn't have anything to do with the odds of a single cell.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

You might try being less stupid and to stop lying. Then we wouldn't have to call you stupid and liars.

You might try it.

If you want to act like an ignorant peasant from the Dark Ages then expect to be treated that way.

That's a lie. Carbon dating is only good for about 4,000 years. There are other better methods of dating but evolutionists won't use it or it will crumble down their entire theory.

Proof carbon dating lies:

Fresh dinosaur soft tissues has been found! Confusedhock:

Blood vessels will not last for more than 10,000 years and finding a 80 million year old dinosaur with soft tissue left scientists scratching their heads. "We may have to think of our basic models..." says one of them.

Im sure they will eventually come up with a good little story how the soft tissue survived millions of years.

Who could have imagined that dinosaurs were alive less than 10,000 years ago! Not evolutionists.

Actually now you're lying AGAIN!

All dating systems are used.

But of course all you can do is repeat bullshit claims and your "proof" is a youtube video (again). Where are the peer-reviewed documents I've requested?

Oh, right, there are none. That's because creationists have no evidence, just claims.

And the use of the term "evolutionists" is just another creationist ploy. What will you call them next, "Darwinists"?

Dumbfuck!
