Eternity? Why worry about what I can't comprehend?

It's not the unbelievers going to Hell that puts a smile on the faces in the First Baptist congregation, it's the goddam Catholics going to Hell that makes their little day.

That's because you are a good christain.

So you are conceited, disingenuous, superstitious, gullible, unperceptive, and deeply stupid.

I'll let your comment stand on it's own merit.

I don't detect any glee among christians concerning unbelievers going to hell.

The very existence of it indicates a gleeful desire to see it happen, especially if it's not in the Bible.

There are only a few misunderstood verses about eternal torment. The vast amount speak of death. Only the saved will be given immortality.

The Christians that teach eternal torment are fools that love adding insult to injury.

Almost everyone in America has access to a Bible even if they don't have one. However, atheists read it more and know it better than believers.

I heard we were spirits around God's throne asking to be made into people in spite of God's warning that earth is an evil place.
In juvenile confidence, we said we would not fail Him.

I always thought the same thing as you-
I didn't ask to be here.
But I am here, and since I am, I needed to find out the truth about life and reality.
Choices have to be made regardless of how we feel about them.
THAT is the correct response to evidence.

As for eternal punishment, the false Messiah (O) and his false prophet (Francis) are singled out for it.
When the period of time ahead is over, no one will say they don't deserve it.
The rest, who don't want the God of Heaven are not so specified.
But intelligence leaves nothing to chance.
And chance has no intelligence.

Then - why are there so many gods out there - from which people can choose or not choose

According to YOUR reasoning - If" intelligence leaves NOTHING to chance "

Then why doesn't the god (or gods)Provide ABSOLUTE PROOF of its/Their existence to all - and have everyone know the correct one(s)?

Why doesn't a god eliminate all but the ONE true religion - when there are over 40,000 different versions of Xtainity alone among the hundreds of thousands of religions

But Since THIS has been left to pure chance (Not all people even know about every religion) - intelligence tells us that there is no god.

Thank YOU for providing another excellant reason not to accept gods !

I have debated with Christians about Annihilation vs eternal torment many times lately. They are not content with simply knowing that they are going to heaven. Oh no, they argue tooth and nail that the wicked are going to be eternally tormented. They get very angry at the thought of a soul being put to death for punishment.

. . . .

I believe the bible states god is not the author of confusion. Perhpas another contradiction has been uncovered ??

And besides, when it comes to authoring confusion, Joseph Smith makes god look like a piker . . .

Nope, no gleeful anticipation of the suffering of others here.

I could have pointed that out before, but I tend not to order this guy's word salad very often.
