Oldest Clovis Sites Found Thus Far

RE: Oldest Clovis Sites Found Thus Far
Being an absolute creationist view laymen to world history, I'd be interested in a 'world history according to Min' breakdown.

I'd like to know if perhaps the ocean floors were inhabited at one time.. I mean there are flood myths in many cultures right. Maybe we all originated on land that no longer exists?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Don't they also say the emerged from the underworld?

The Pueblo Indians say that they emerged from a hole in the ground from a previous world. I don't think they would call it an underworld though. It was a place people had messed up. Some of them place the hole in the Grand Canyon. Their stories of their migration from there are supported by the archeological record.

Lots of different tribes lots of different legends.

There is a shitload of land that was once dry, and is now a fair few feet beneath the waves. It's a persistent problem for archaeologists, considering that human civilization has kept itself so close to water for so long. The "ocean floor" no...but the edges of continental shelves, yes, absolutely...that's actually one of the places we'd expect to find the most evidence of human habitation, if it were still available.

To extend that to a conclusion of where we all come from though....that's taking it too far. There aren't many inland seas or ocean floors in africa (that line up with our species timeline).......

Yeah its the geography timeline that I'm interested in. And how that lines up with genetics findings.. I just need to go back to school probably Tongue

2.3mya from our earliest recognizable to 50k (maybe much more) for full "modernity". Clovis finds don't really scratch that but they can re-write the history of north american migration. Which has been looking like it might need a re-write for awhile now.

I like the one where creatards insist that the earth was "flatter" before the flood and thus there did not need to be as much water to cover all the land.

Their evidence for that is, of course, non-existent but that doesn't stop the asswipes from insisting on it.

It just occurred to me, Luckie, that you might have been asking about the timeline of any landbridge, and why old clovis sites stir up controversy.

Essentially, any site in the americas can only be so old, because the landbridge did not exist indefinitely into the past (and obviously ceased to exist at some point between then and now). That puts a window(s) on any possible migration to populate north america (and ultimately s. america as well) across said bridge. All of this is according to the prevailing maxim.

If we find a site that would suggest migration and population of the americas before that bridge existed (or during any of the periods in which it was underwater), then we have a serious problem - if we want to maintain the current explanation.

So that's the clovis bit in a nutshell.

-or any number of sites. Indeed. Here's an interactive map for anyone remotely interested. It only shows N. America.

Oh I had thought there was already a link made that south America was inhabited by Malaysian migrants on sail boats? Tongue What do genetics say happened?

Thanks for the links, I'll take a look Smile
