RE: Should theists announce their beliefs?
I've noted on other sites with religious fora that just getting a brazen, open and notorious scripture cherry picker to even ACKNOWLEDGE that they are, in fact, cherry picking scripture can be quite difficult.

I recall one poster was really getting his panties in a knot over a gay clergy controversy in his denomination, and I just kept pointing out his church already approves of divorced AND REMARRIED clergy, and he final would admit he was 'troubled' by the divorced clergy, but still wanted a schism over (openly) gay clergy.

Meh! What's the point? His church has already decided THEY know better than JESUS in regards to remarriage following divorce (thus falsifying their own faith), what possible difference could gay clergy make at that point ??

So, to tie this to the topic, even getting someone to admit they are a nominal (insert religion, sect or cult here) doesn't really do any good, even within the uber category of 'Christianity' when the religiousites have already departed from 'Revealed Truth' to parts unknown.

Other than family and close family friends, I tend to keep my religious views silent. Only when people pressure me to do something that violates my religious views and they ask why will I tell them.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Should they, or may they give their religious view? Should? NO. May? *sigh* I suppose so.
