Is "being the creator of everything" an essential characteristic of the xtian god?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

So, it would seem a Biblicly-based Christian would think it necessary.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

If God was real and created people and the universe or just one or the other, you are still left asking who the hell created him/her and why does he/she give a crap? What's the point? The invention of God to solve our bigger questions still answers nothing, and only leaves more to speculate.

Not if he wasn't the first cause, no. But then that's not what I said is it?

If I was talking about my beliefs that might stick Wink

Um... No?
Try harder

Well, at least it could produce something to destroy it later on. You haven't presented a valid argument for why the Creator has to be good.
Yes, I have. Ignoring it isn't challenging it.

Change of subject, right... He doesn't need anything. We need him. I'd kiss you on the cheeks but I think that's your bum Wink

Just to piggyback something else on top of that:

Why cannot be more then one creator out there ? Why only one is more logical than many ? Thinking

Agreed. It just seems that the defining characteristics of god could hardly be more fluid or more convenient.

Q: Why are they that way?

A: Well then the whole thing just hangs together, don't you see?

Can't say that I have ignored it... All I've seen was a false equivalence between being bad and being destructive. You know, these adjectives sometimes go in the same package, but... they don't have to.

I gave you a reason, and explained it. You haven't explained why you think there's a problem with it, therefore it stands.
