Rand Paul was one of few senators who voted against paying our bills. If he had had his way, the economy would have collapsed in a way that would have made 2008 look like a minor correction. This one act alone makes him unfit to hold any office.

There's probably a shitload that Paul has done that I would find disgusting... but judging by the very, very low expectations that I have for politicians, he seems to be one of the few who isn't completely sold to special interests. In all reality, I expect that perception of mine will change between now and the election.

There are some things that are little sins that we forgive because all politicians have feet of clay. And then there are things more serious.

Rand Paul nearly caused the destruction of the entire world economy, possibly causing irreparable damage to America's standing as an economic power. Most of the GOP was on board with threatening economic Armageddon. Rand Paul would have actually pressed the button if they'd allowed him to.

That one act alone, even if he were perfect in every other way, makes him completely unfit to handle sharp objects, never mind the highest office in the land.

I'd sooner have W back in office than Rand Paul as president. Paul would make W look like Lincoln.
