"I may be fat, but I beat my eating disorder"
RE: "I may be fat, but I beat my eating disorder"
The fucking hypocrisy on some of you, it's astonishing. You don't even notice when you're the only ones to freak out, get personal, insult and swear and then when the other person does it all of the sudden you notice and it's bad. I'm not saying it was the case right here, right now, but I've definitely seen it. And to think some of you think you're somehow morally superior to others just by virtue of being yourselves and this means you can simply dismiss someone who disagrees with you on something without even bringing any valid arguments to the table to back you up. What a childish thing to do. Not to mention the covert bullying and the satire employed out of pure malice. Internet keyboard warriors, none of you stand a chance in an intelligent debate with that attitude.

If you can't stand the heat, stay the fuck out of the kitchen, laddie.  Nobody's going to mollycoddle you here. If you don't like it, tough shit. Grow a pair and quit whining.

Simply repeating your charge of strawmanning doesn't obviate the fact that you're either too dense to see the implications of your suggested course of action, or you are deliberately ignoring/denying it with no regard for the obvious. It's not my fault you haven't thought your position through, and think that it's your appointed duty to go about involving yourself in the business of others as if they don't damned well know they're overweight, as if they don't know it's unhealthy, and they need you, genius that you are, to inform them.

Get over yourself.  Fucking busybody.

Thumpa, I think your general attitude towards some, including me, is very inimical. People are imperfect, they might make some mistakes sometimes, but it's not okay to hold it against them to such a degree that you'll always blame someone for something or be mad at them for something they said to you at one point in the past. Why can't you get over some stuff and be nicer for a change, even towards those that you think wronged you? Is it that much to ask you to drop this ridiculous macho attitude?

Act like an adult, then. It is not an insult to call you "boy"so much as it is pointing out the obvious -- to wit, your childishness.

When you can discuss this or any other issue with a modicum of maturity, I will stop pointing out your immaturity.  Until then, remember -- when you buy the boat, you get the leaks.

Do you know how you sound when you make statements of that nature, ending them with some kind of bullshit phrase you heard somewhere in the 2 or so centuries you must've lived on this planet? Like a grumpy old man who can't change for shit. Get over yourself. Start treating people better, you're not special or anything.

Firstly, I edited that post once I came across his apology.

Secondly, I don't like you, and don't consider you to be a valuable source of insight for behavior, given your obvious difficulties in that department. I don't believe in sugarcoating shit and I'm not about to start for your benefit.

Thirdly, this is not about being macho. I'm pretty much the most unmacho guy around. What it is for me is I don't like being insulted, patronized, or cussed at. I much prefer a civil conversation.

Finally, if I want advice from you, I'll ask for it, thanks.

And again, that too was edited once I read is mea culpa.

I really don't care about your opinion of me. I don't know why you're so butthurt about that.

Proving my point. Being more passive-aggresive towards me doesn't help either. You're free to do what you want and I'll leave you alone if that's what you want, though I'm not exactly required by any rule to do so(I can reply to you whenever I want, you can block me if you don't to see it). But I'm a nice guy, grandpa, and I'll do it. What the hell. If a simpleton like yourself isn't able to be any better, I'll respect your wishes and won't disabuse you of your dated ideas on how to talk with people you disagree with.

I seem to recall you were mad as well in the past. I didn't treat you with memes. I took you seriously.

You're a hypocrite. As is the one calling me a butthurt.
