They're far more alike than people tend to think they are. To me Islam is basically an offshoot of Christianity while Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism anyway. They're the same religion with minor tweaks. To be fair, they probably look more different than they actually are today because Christianity and Judaism have somewhat reformed while Islam hasn't.

So all these historical and current religious wars are over "minor tweaks", isn't it wonderful?

Christ repeatedly told his followers to sell all they had and give to the poor. These Christian values don't seem popular with the Christians. Jesus said "If you love me, keep my commandments". Apparently in this regard few Christians love Jesus.
